Zero Blockchain · ZC-1
An independently authored hybrid DAG-BFT consensus: DAG ordering with BFT checkpoints, VRF-selected committees, deterministic finality, data-availability sampling and a zk / post-quantum direction. The mesh animating behind this site is a living sketch of it.

Overview
Zero Blockchain (ZC-1) is a hybrid Directed-Acyclic-Graph plus Byzantine-Fault-Tolerant protocol designed for high throughput with deterministic finality. DAG ordering decouples transaction dissemination from consensus, while periodic BFT checkpoints anchor the ledger and give clean, provable finality.
The design spans 34 reference modules — blockchain core, networking and nodes, governance, token economics, a multi-sig wallet, regulatory & audit tooling, decentralised identity and storage, developer tooling, observability, a CLI, a simulation environment and a full test suite.
What's inside
- DAG mempool with forward-only ordering and deterministic tip selection
- VRF-selected committees rotating BFT checkpoint duty for unbiased validation
- Data-availability sampling so light & mobile clients verify without full state
- zk-SNARK and post-quantum cryptography direction for long-horizon security
- UK regulatory alignment themes — AML, KYC and GDPR — woven through the design
